  • What we do

Our volunteers patrol the area any day of the week at any time of the day in pairs. After checking in at the detachment office, we cover all the towns and surrounding areas.

Crowsnest Pass Citizens on Patrol work in co-operation with the local RCMP detachment and the Municipality of Crowsnest Pass.

We patrol every town within the Municipality (Bellevue, Hillcrest, Frank, Blairmore and Coleman)

Crowsnest Pass Citizens on Patrol is NOT a police unit but adds eyes and ears to the existing police services.

We do not have the authority nor the mandate to make arrests, nor to take any action that might jeopardize their own safety or that of the public. We simply observe and report

Our active members are expected to dedicate a minimum of (4) hours per month to patrol duties

Crowsnest Pass Citizens on Patrol is an active member of Alberta Citizens On Patrol Association (ACOPA)
